Focus Entertainment will be the first game publisher to offer premium content and engage directly with cloud gamers through Blacknut’s new exclusive publisher channel feature.
Blacknut, the leading pure-player cloud gaming provider, is announcing a new feature for game publishers to create their own dedicated Channels. With the latest Newzoo forecasts predicting US$ 8.2 Billion revenues by 2025 (1), Cloud Gaming is the fastest growing segment for the gaming distribution Industry. Blacknut has in its core mission to allow consumers but also content owners to benefit from the multi-billion cloud gaming market opportunity (CAGR Y19-25: +122%) fueled by the increasing offer and demand for gaming everywhere. Cloud gaming’s service obtainable Market (SOM) will double and reach 500 million people(1) by 2025.
Focus Entertainment will be the first publisher to join this new program and launch their own Channel on the Blacknut Cloud Gaming Platform. The new channel will be released on Blacknut service in the second half of 2023. Focus Entertainment brings their distinctive editorial line, including memorable artistic direction, gameplay and critically acclaimed titles such as “A Plague Tale: Innocence”.

For players, channels will be a new way to unlock more content and also directly support their favorite developers and games. As social features are developed, channels will also have the opportunity to become “fan zone” spaces where players and publishers can interact together, and be on the lookout for more exclusive content.
Blacknut’s subscription-based offering service already includes access to a growing catalog of 500+ premium PC & Console games playable through streaming technology on any connected device. The Focus Exclusive Channel will launch by Q3 2023, with twenty titles curated by Focus Entertainment, and plans to regularly update the selection for the future subscribers.
The Blacknut application enables playing on the largest selection of devices, in a full hardware agnostic approach for consumers - using existing connected screens (offering upcycling for end-consumers, and targeting multi-device households and families).
With deployment in over 45 countries, the Blacknut platform is experiencing exponential growth with regular new B2B distribution partnerships including telecom operators, ISPs, TV manufacturers, OTT services and media companies to launch streaming games services but also with device manufacturers like LG TV or Samsung TV.
