Thai mobile carrier AIS has launched a new cloud gaming service for AIS customers on the 1st of October with a catalog of over 400 PC & Console quality video games available on Smartphone.
Thailand’s leading mobile carrier AIS, Cloud-gaming specialist Blacknut and Gameloft Distribution Solutions have partnered to launch a brand new cloud gaming service. The cloud-gaming service has been launched on the 1st of October as part of AIS’s new 5G offering, giving their customers access to over 400+ games, with new titles added every month.
Thanks to the availability of 5G and the increased capacity it provides, cloud gaming can now be accessed on mobile devices with PC and console-quality gaming with reduced latency and much higher data rates. AIS Telecom is the first mobile operator in Thailand to launch a 5G service.
Blacknut’s leading cloud gaming platform enables ISPs, device manufacturers, OTT services and media companies to quickly launch streaming games services, as well as serving gamers in 33 countries. Blacknut is already powering cloud gaming services for TIM in Italy, Swisscom in Switzerland and Partner TV Gaming in Israel. Blacknut’s cloud gaming service gives subscribers unlimited access to a catalog of more than 400 premium games that can be streamed and played on any compatible smartphone, PC or smart TV.
"With a games industry worth $70 million a year, Thailand is home to millions of gamers who can now experience cloud gaming for the first time thanks to AIS Telecom’s new 5G network,” said Olivier Avaro, CEO and founder of Blacknut. “This launch is sure to be the first of many in the region, as we see a growing demand in South Asia for cloud gamin’s console-quality experience without the corresponding hardware cost.”
AIS customers will be able to subscribe to this new subscription based service directly via AIS for 299 Baht per month, and available to play on all compatible smartphone.
